Hello, my name is Jean-Paul Gardelli and I have been taking people on safaris and adventures in Southern Africa since I became a tour guide in 2003. I was first properly introduced to African wildlife when I went on a trip to Zimbabwe with a good friend of mine from our army days in the early 1990's. We camped wild on the banks of the Zambezi river in a place called Mana Pools, and in Hwange game reserve, visited the mighty Vic Falls and Lake Kariba. The trip had a profound effect on me and from then I have always been passionate about wildlife and nature, especially in Africa, my birthplace.

I spent as much time as I could with wildlife in game reserves, scuba diving and hiking in nature. This passion led me to become a field, or nature guide, and I started doing overland style tours through all the beautiful and diverse areas of Southern Africa. From the amazing depths of the Indian Ocean where I scuba dived with the Ragged tooth sharks off the coast of Umkomaas, south of Durban, free swimming with whale sharks and dolphins in Mozambique, whale watching trips from the cold waters near Cape Town in South Africa to the beautifully warm tropical waters of Mozambique - during the annual migration of the Humpback and southern Right whales...it is a must, cultural tours in Johannesburg and Soweto, hiking tours around the magnificent mountain chains of the Drakensberg and Cape Fold mountains, playing golf with wildlife on the fairways near Kruger National Park, cycling and wine tasting through the Vineyards of the Western Cape, climbing the dunes of the desert in Namibia, visiting the spectacular carpet of flowers in the Namaqualand, taking in the history of the battlefields of South Africa, walking the rugged and amazing coastline of the Garden route, taking a makoro through the water channels in the Okavango delta of Botswana, white watering rafting down the might Zambezi and so much more....the list goes on and on.

What an amazing adventure it has been and such a privilege to have experienced it all with the many guests who become friends and come back for more. If you are wanting to come back because you have not had enough and want to escape the rat race and refill your spiritual cup, or maybestill need to be initiated....then I would love to host you, or help you out!

I design my own custom made tours to meet your particular interests, desires and your budget, but I also work in tandem with other like minded people and recommend the really good operators that I have worked for and with who specialize in certain types of activities, and tours, who I know will do a professional job and will give you the real authentic experience of Africa.
