Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrive at  Cape Town International Airport in the afternoon and transfer to your accommodation in Stellenbosch, right in the heart of the wine growing region of South Africa. Here we take a tour of the town of Stellenbosch, which is the second oldest town in South Africa. Visit Paarl Nature reserve and the Taal monument.- Accommodation in comfortable guesthouse in Stellenbosch.

Day 2:  After breakfast we play a round of golf at De Zalze or Stellenbosch golf courses. Depart for an afternoon of visiting the different wine regions and tasting some of the great wines South Africa is producing in Stellenbosch and Paarl region. Overnight at guest house near Stellenbosch.

Day 3:  We make our way to Franschoek and play the Pearl Valley golf course, a Jack Nicholaus signature golf course. We play this wonderful golf course which has hosted the South African Open for the last two years in the morning and the rest of the day can be spent wine tasting, walking through this charming town exploring the shops or just relaxing in the beautiful surroundings. Overnight at our guesthouse in Franschoek.

Day 4:   We depart after breakfast for the town of Hermanus situated in Walker Bay, renowned for some of the best land- based whale watching in the world (seasonal of course, best time from mid August to mid Oct). Here we can go on an optional whale watching cruise or the chance to go cage-diving with the Great White shark. Later we can go explore the beautiful beaches or take a walk in Fernkloof Nature Reserve. Overnight at the Western Cape Spa and Hotel- Arabella Golf estate / Hermanus.

Day 5:  Play 18 hole Arabella golf course in the morning. After lunch we drive the beautiful coastal road to Gordon’s Bay and then on to Cape Town. Afternoon can be spent exploring the waterfront. Overnight guesthouse in Cape Town.

Day 6:  We explore the Cape Peninsula with a drive via the Atlantic seaboard (Clifton, Camps Bay) to Hout Bay on Chapman’s Peak drive; there we visit the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Also the opportunity to do the Shipwreck trail hike. Then we visit Boulders Beach to see a breeding colony of African penguins. Overnight at guesthouse in Cape Town.

Day 7:  Today we play The Royal Cape Golf Course.  Afterwards we take a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and a chance to go up Table Mountain either by cable car or for the more adventurous you can hike up. Overnight guesthouse in Cape Town.

Day 8: This is a free day. Play an optional game of golf at Steenberg or Clovelly  golf course or take a tour of Robben Island, a world Heritage site and thereafter free afternoon to explore the shopping areas of Greenmarket square and the Waterfront, helicopter tour of Cape Town or a City tour of the Mother City, go to one of the many beautiful beaches, climb Lion’s Head, orhorse riding at Noordhoek.  Tour ends.
