Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Depart Johannesburg, drive via the "Panoramic Route" (God's Window, Bourke's Potholes, and Blyde River Canyon) to Hans Merensky golf estate in Phalaborwa right on the border of the Kruger National Park (KNP). Overnight at Hans Merensky. (D) (http://www.hansmerensky.co.za)

Day 2: Greet the African dawn on the manicured fairways of the challenging 18 hole, par 72 championship course where crocodile, hippo and other game animals add spice to the normal hazards of a good game of golf. This unique course designed by Bob Grimsdell extends over a vast area of indigenous bush interspersed with tranquil pools and velvet greens. Whatever your interests, the Hans Merensky Estate offers the best in golf, service and style. Play golf and relax for the day. Overnight Hans Merensky. (B, D)

Day 3: Drive to the world renowned Sabi Sands private game reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park, famous for their leopard sightings. Check into our lodge and then go on a sunset game drive seeking out the Big 5. (B,L,D) (http://www.nkorho.com)

Day 4: We rise early in the morning hoping to catch the predators still out and about. After the morning game drive we have an optional walk in the bush, led by the game ranger, learning all about the fauna and flora, rest of the day is spent relaxing by the pool, reading a book or taking in a siesta. Later in the afternoon we depart for another game drive that afternoon/night. Overnight at private lodge.  (B,L,D)

Day 5: Early morning game drive and then depart private game lodge for Sabie River Sun. We play their 18 hole golf course set on the banks of the Sabie river, and pvernight at the lodge. (B, D)

Day 6: Drive through the southern part of the Kruger National Park to Leopard Creek Golf course, rated the number 1 golf course in South Africa. In the afternoon we play this magnificent golf course on the southern border of the Kruger National Park and then overnight at our lodge on the Crocodile River. Day 7:  After breakfast we depart for Swaziland, driving to Nkonyeni, outside Manzini. On route we have the option to visit the glass blowing factory, visit the silk making factory and visit market for curios and crafts. Overnight in the bungalows. (B,D) (http://www.royalvillasswaziland.com)

Day 8: Today we play the beautiful Nkoyeni golf course and the rest of the day is at leisure. ‘Nkonyeni…Where Heaven Meets Earth’ - Nkonyeni Golf Estate is surrounded by mountains and situated in 1200 hectares of gorgeous bushveld overlooking the Great Usuthu River. Nkonyeni offers Swaziland’s premier 18 hole championship golf course. The course presents a fresh challenge due to the design by Phil Jacobs. Phil Jacobs is renowned for outstanding courses such as Leopard Creek, the Links at Fancourt, Sun City and 40 other courses worldwide. Day 9: Depart Swaziland drive to St Lucia, a wetland area and world heritage site along the northern Kwazulu Natal coastline. Swim in the sea/ walk in the reserve. Overnight St Lucia. (B)

Day 10: Estuary cruise in the morn exploring this fascinating and delicate eco system. There is a excellent chance to spot hippos and crocs from very close quarters to the boat. In the afternoon we take a drive to Cape Vidal through a protected reserve. Great opportunities to spot more of the great African wildlife such as rhinos, antelopes and maybe even the elusive leopard. Day 11:  We depart St Lucia for Stanger and Princes Grant golf estate along the coast south of Saint Lucia. We play Princes Grant golf course in the afternoon. Overnight at lodge in Shakas Rock. ( B, D ) (http://www.meandermanor.co.za)

Day 12: Free day to relax and enjoy. Play an optional game at either Zimbali or Umhlali golf course, laze by the pool or spend the day at leisure on one of the many beautiful beaches in the area. Overnight at lodge in Shakas Rock. (B, D)

Day 13:  Depart the East Coast and head inland towards the great Drakensberg Escarpment and our destination is just outside the Royal Natal National park, another World Heritage site. (B, D)

Day 14: Play the golf course at Champagne Sports Resort in the morning. Overnight in the Drakensberg. (B, D)

Day 15:  Today we will visit the Royal Natal Park in the beautiful and majestic Drakensberg Mountains, and walk in and explore the Tugela gorge. Overnight in the Drakensberg. (B, L, D)

Day 16: After a leisurely morning and / or a short walk, we depart back to Johannesburg. Tour ends. (B)
