3 Day Budget Kruger Safari
This Safari is a wonderful way to experience the Kruger National Park. With a morning and afternoon game drive as well as an option of a SANParks Sunset Drive on one of the evenings. You will have ample opportunity to sight some of Africa’s most famous wildlife.
Be amazed by elephant, buffalo, lion, hippo, leopard, hyena, kudu, giraffe, zebra and so much more on your game drives and an option SANParks sunset drive to give you the opportunity to also see nocturnal animals on a budget kruger safari. There are however never any guarantees and the more time you have in the bush, the better!
We visit the Lisbon Falls, Three Rondavels in the Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window, providing some of the most magnificent scenery in the country!
Accommodation on a budget Kruger safari
Accommodation is in fixed spacious and luxurious cottage safari tents with beds, linen, towels and soap. Ablutions are shared and serviced regularly. These tents have a small fridge, a fan and mosquito proofing on the doors and windows.

Itinerary
Day 1: On the way to your Kruger Safari from Johannesburg
We leave on your Kruger Park Safari from Johannesburg in the early morning. The route to your African Safari takes us through the Highveld with its wide open spaces, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area. En-route to the Kruger National Park we stop for lunch (own expense)
As you enter one of the park gates your first Game Drive begins. Once you reach the camp, we check in and after settling into your accommodation you have the opportunity, time permitting, of doing a short afternoon drive or an optional SANParks Sunset Drive. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal African Wildlife. The Kruger Park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. Note that this is not a private Game Drive and that other guests may be joining you on this drive.
(Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)
Dinner is at your own expense in a restaurant at the camp inside the park. Snack and drinks can be purchased at the Kruger Park shop.
Day 2: Full day in the Park
Safaris are all about early mornings, getting out there and seeing animals! The time you go on your Game Drive varies according to the seasons and camp gate opening times. We have tea or coffee with muffins and fruit before departing on the Game Drive which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!
On returning to camp, or at a picnic spot, brunch can be purchased at the restaurant. Once back at camp you then have time to enjoy a swim, visit the park shop which includes African curios, general food items and drinks, take a walk around the camp, or simply relax at the viewing platform depending on the camp, some overlook a River. Be sure to bring your binoculars, the Rest Camps are a bird watcher’s paradise!
After a siesta we set off on the afternoon Kruger Park game drive.
Day 3: Kruger Park to Gauteng
The final day of your Kruger Park Safari will be an early morning game drive, your last chance to see the Big Five Animals that have eluded you thus far. After breakfast we return to Johannesburg. The drive back takes about 6 hours depending on which camp you are staying at
Panorama Route (Optional Excursion)
We offer an optional excursion to visit select attractions along the Panorama Route in all our Kruger Safaris of 3 days or longer. We stop in one of the small towns en-route for breakfast (included) and visit attractions such as the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God’s Window.
